Unique Manuka Factor (UMF^®) refers to the honey’s unique anti-bacterial properties. This special anti bacterial property is not found in all Manuka Honeys. UMF^® is a trademark owned by the Active Manuka Honey Association (AMHA). The UMF^® license certifies that the honey meets the required levels of unique activity as defined by Dr. Peter Molan at New Zealand’s Waikato University. The NZ Health Naturally UMF^® Manuka honeys meet the certification requirements and have been awarded UMF^® licenses.

The New Zealand Food Safety Authority’s (NZFSA) role is to protect consumers of New Zealand food and food-related products, no matter where in the world they may be. It is NZFSA's role to ensure that food produced in New Zealand is safe, suitable and meets all requirements. NZFSA have created the Risk Management Programme (RMP) which is designed to identify, control, manage and eliminate or minimize hazards and risk factors so that the resulting animal product (including bee products) is fit for intended purposes, under part 2 of the New Zealand Animal Products Act. Manufacturing of NZ Health Naturally products meets the standards to be awarded RMP certification.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an industry accreditation  for health products. Products made under GMP certified premises abide by strict requirements and regulations to ensure safe and quality endorsed products. All NZ Health Naturally supplements are made in GMP certified premises and thus carry the GMP stamp of certification.

NZ Health Naturally is proud to make their products in New Zealand. When a product carries the gold and blue kiwi trade mark, you can be certain that its NZ made. For a product to carry the kiwi trade mark of the ‘Buy New Zealand Made Campaign’, it must be made in New Zealand. NZ Health Naturally products comply with the Country of Origin guidelines in the Fair Trading Act and are holders of a NZ Made License.
